Dr Claire
Moir, BSc (St Andrews) MB, ChB (Manchester) MRCGP, DFFP Dr James
Miller established this practice in 1882. The main surgery moved in April
2002 from Wallacetown Health Centre to Arthurstone Medical Centre. This
is a large modern building which includes a separate comprehensive library,
conference room, and a research and audit room. A purpose-built branch
surgery was established at Fintry Mill in 1994. The practice has been
involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching for many years. This is
an active inner-city practice with many patients from deprived circumstances.
It will give GPRs a broad exposure to general practice in a well-supported
and stimulating environment. The practice has a computer network that
is continually being updated and provides a full range of services. We
are a recognised research practice and have various projects ongoing. The practice is a member of Dundee Doctors Out of Hours Co-operative and the GPR is expected to work 2 sessions a month.
