Scottish Institute for Policing Research: Professor Nick Fyfe named as Director of this new Institute, announced November 2006. The Institute is formed from a consortium of 13 Higher Education Institutes in a £2.1m funding package from the Scottish Funding Council and the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland.
