Royal Scottish Geographical Society - President's Medal

Dr John Rowan

Dr John Rowan, School of the Environment , has been awarded the highly-prestigious Royal Scottish Geographical Society President's Award. This annual medal recognises excellence in research and teaching of a geographer in mid-career. The prize was awarded at the recent Annual Awards Ceremony by the RSGS President Rt Hon The Earl of Lindsay.

Dr Rowan is Convener of the new Centre for Environmental Change and Human Resilience initiative between Dundee University and the Scottish Crop Research Institute.

Previous RSGS President medallists from the School of the Environment are Dr Fiona Smith and Dr Martin Kirkbride.
