Welcome to the Centre for Forensic and Legal Medicine Web Site Centre for Forensic and Legal Medicine,
University of Dundee, Dundee, Scotland, DD1 4HN Introduction to the CentreThe Centre for Forensic and Legal Medicine is
located in the Fleming Gymnasium building on the Main Campus (number 25 on
the Campus Map).
Enter via Small's Wynd and, opposite the OTI coffee shop, there is a lane
with access to the Centre. The Centre on campus houses offices, laboratory
facilities and a comprehensive library. The mortuary facility is
approximately ten minutes away from the university main campus, adjacent to
the police headquarters building. The Centre provides undergraduate teaching to the
School of Law
(optional courses in forensic medicine and in forensic science).
A postgraduate one-year taught course leading to a Master of Forensic Medicine degree is available for medical graduates only. Postgraduate research programmes, mainly in the field of forensic toxicology, provide MSc and PhD opportunities. The Centre has an active interest in the application of forensic medicine in support of human rights and has teaching, research and international service commitments in this field.
