USS (Universities Superannuation Scheme)

This scheme operates in all the pre-1992 universities and many of the post-1992 institutions.

Contributions 6.5% Employee's for Career Revalued Benefit members
7.5% Employee's for Final Salary members
16% Employer's
Scheme Retirement Age 65
New Starts

If you are a new member of staff, you will be automatically opted into the USS, unless you complete and submit the 'Election Not to Join' form before you start work. This form is usually sent out with your contract but if you need a replacement please contact the Pensions Office.

If you have previously opted out of the USS during employment at Dundee, you may rejoin at a later date, but some restrictions may apply. Please contact the Pensions Office for futher details.
