Kirsty Gunn, Sue Black, & Calum Colvin: In Memoriam In Memoriam is the truly collaborative event, a book that has reached across the University and brought together students and staff with internationally renowned authors, to celebrate the lives of some of the people who have donated their bodies to science. Professor Kirsty Gunn will talk about the writers - both professional and students - who have contributed to this unique project. Professor Sue Black will explain why the 'silent teachers', the people who donate their bodies to medical science, are helping to train the next generation of doctors, scientists, dentists and surgeons. Professor Calum Colvin has created artwork for the book and will discuss the inspiration behind his stunning images and how they were made. Join us, to celebrate those who give hope after their death. Tickets are available from the Events Office, tel: 01382 385564. |
