How To Write a Good Funding Application

Internal Sources

The School Research Committee will consider requests for modest funding to support pilot or pump-priming schemes which might lead to more substantial research projects. The School also offers a limited number of student bursaries, which can be used to in a very flexible way to recruit or sustain a person to act as a Research Assistant while studying for a higher research degree. These are offered for defined areas of work linked to School priorities.

The Associate Dean Research (Keith Topping) welcomes informal enquiries from staff about research funding, and will facilitate links with the central university Research & Innovation Services. However, staff should first explore some of the sources below.
