Related Projects and Websites:
In the U.S.A., the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning was founded in 1994. Members of this network share a mission to identify best practices to promote children's social and emotional development, academic achievement and citizenship. CASEL has a Web site including links to related sites, and operates a listserv (details of which are on the website).
A related project in Australia, now complete, was led by Kate Prescott, and resulted in two publications under the main title of "Teaching Social Competence Behaviour To Adolescents" — 'Project Outline, Findings and Recommendations' and "A Directory of Processes and Programs Used in Australian Schools' (both published in 1995 by the Australian Guidance and Counseling Association.
