Very many people now have access to email. Even if you have no computer at either home or work, this can be through cybercafes or community centres.

To receive the newsletter, simply email Parents In Education and request it. Please also give your full name, position, address, telephone and fax, as well as your email address. These will NOT be made publicly available.

The electronic version of the Parents in Education newsletter will be sent as an attached rtf file or in the body of an (inevitably rather long) email message.

It is very important that you have advised the Parents In Education of your current exact email address, and that you advise of any changes to your email address as promptly as possible.

It is not unusual for people to forget to tell all relevant agencies when they change their email address. This means that the sender receives endless automatic "mail undeliverable" messages from the old address. Consequently, Parents In Education operates a "three strikes and you're out" policy. In other words, if we have three consecutive "undeliverable" automatic bounces from your (old) email address, we will simply delete it from the distribution process.

Be aware that some internet service providers and some email spam filter software will not permit receipt of email sent to multiple addresses - this might be why you do not receive the newsletter as expected. Visit the web site to update on newsletters.

Members may forward the electronic Parents in Education newsletter by email on to an infinite number of other potentially interested parties. They may also download an electronic version from the website and distribute that if it is easier.

Because Parents in Education is free, recipients may also make hard paper copies for local distribution if they wish and it suits their purposes. However, copyright is retained by PERN and NHSDG, and this should be acknowledged. The Newsletter must not be sold on a profit-making basis (although a small charge to cover paper and printing costs may be made).
