Research Student Bursaries

From time to time the School offers bursaries or scholarships to support M.Phil. or Ph.D. research students in part or in full. These are usually for full-time students, of about £10,000 per annum (but fees must be paid out of this sum).

However, competition for these bursaries is extremely strong, and potential applicants must also consider alternative sources of funding (see Research Funding and Fees & Funding on the Admissions website).

Preference will be given to research projects which clearly align with the research mission and research interests of the School.

For further details of any currently available bursaries, please contact the Research Programme Administrator:

Tel No: +44(0)1382 381512
E-mail: eswce-research@dundee.ac.uk

Any subsequent applications should be in the standard form for a research degree application to the University, together with a full curriculum vitae and a covering letter requesting consideration for award of a bursary which explains how your project is aligned to the faculty's research mission and how it will add value to it. This application should be sent in the first instance to Tracy Pratt in the School Research office, not to the Registry as indicated on the form.
