Dr Susan Levy

Biography

Susan is a Lecturer in the School of Education, Social Work and Community Education. She gained her MA and PhD in Geography from St Andrews University and has held teaching and research posts in the field of social sciences at the Universities of St Andrews, Edinburgh and The Open University. She joined the University of Dundee in 2007 and has taught social policy and community care modules on undergraduate and postgraduate qualifying social work programmes. In 2010 she became Programme Convenor for the MSc Applied Professional Studies programme.

Her doctoral research explored disability and housing from a social model of disability perspective. Subsequent research has addressed issues around user involvement, inter-generational caring relationships and transitions in the context of lifelong learning.
