Richard Ingram joined the University of Dundee in 2004 and has undertaken the roles of tutor, lecturer and programme director on both the BA (Hons) and MSc social work programmes. He has been involved in the construction, development and delivery of these programmes from their inception.
Richard arrived at the University following a broad range of experience within the social care and social work sectors. He has worked in the areas of learning disabilities, educational social work, youth work, groupwork, project management and children and families social work across voluntary and statutory contexts.
Richard's current interests include the exploration of the role of emotions within social work practice. This is linked to a developing research interest in examining constructs of the social work profession and the role of supervision.
Richard is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Dundee. The title of his thesis is 'The role of emotions in social work practice'.
