
Lynn Kelly is a social worker and has worked in this country and in Australia. Lynn has been responsible for managing a wide range of multidisciplinary teams and is interested in supervising and mentoring professionals working in the complex area of child protection. Lynn has worked mainly in the area of child protection but has also managed a large therapeutic service for convicted sex offenders. Lynn first joined the University in 2004 and has been Programme Director for Child Care and Protection since 2008. Lynn is now also Programme Director for Adult Care and Protection, MSc Applied Professional Studies and the Post Graduate Diploma in Policing Studies.
Lynn is also working to complete her doctorate and is researching the area of how the media represent sex offenders and pedagogical approaches to post qualifying education. Lynn is married with one child and two grandchildren who continue to teach her lots about unconditional love and children's resilience. Lynn is a member of a local drama group the works therapeutically with children and has been appointed to the Registration and Conduct Committee of the Scottish Social Services Council. Lynn has also become a member of the School Academic and Quality Assurance Committee.
