Linda Corlett

Biography

Linda Corlett is an Educational Psychologist in Edinburgh working for the local authority with schools, young people and their families and since 2006 a part-time Associate Tutor and Lecturer for the professional training programme for educational psychologists at Dundee University. Working in a special school in Sunderland and taking young people away at weekends to climb rocks and hills in Northumberland brought early career first-hand experience of selective mutism, victims of family strife and youngsters who are marginalised. Training in video interactive guidance brought direct opportunities to work with young people and families in Scotland and she has worked with pupils with additional support needs in ASD and ADHD. Her interests are in peer support, supervision, reflective practice and consulting with young people but she continues to be a keen mountaineer, climber, skier and sea kayaker and has two children who are in creative arts and music.
