As the Learning Technologist, my role is to support staff across the School in the development and implementation of learning materials to the Virtual Learning Environment, My Dundee, for fully online, blended or distance learning programmes. Promoting the effective use of technology to enhance and enrich student learning, support teaching and delivery and to help develop new approaches to teaching, learning and assessment practice is also central to the role.
The Learning Technologist role actively supports in the development of online materials ensuring that the conceptual and practical implementation of design for learning is informed by effective pedagogic principles. This is supported by delivering a range of staff development workshops through the use of online technologies as well as maintaining a close working relationship with the central learning technology team at the Library & Learning Centre.
