The Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Policing Studies is a key development in the continuing professional development of police personnel and development funding has been awarded to the University of Dundee from the Scottish Police Services Authority and the Scottish Funding Council for the development of the programme in partnership with the University of St.Andrews, Robert Gordon University, University of Glasgow and the University of the West of Scotland.
The programme is working towards academic approval later this year and for its first intake around Easter 2011. Lynn Kelly the Programme Director for the PG Diploma in Policing Studies and Mike Naulty, Associate Dean for Continuing Advanced Professional Studies from the School of Education, Social Work and Community Education, recently attended the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan to inform graduates of this exciting opportunity to continue their professional development to Masters level.
