School Research & Scholarship Groups

Remit

Reporting to School Research Committee, the role of School Research & Scholarship Groups are:

• To facilitate and support scholarship and research across the School;
• Provide a supportive and encouraging environment for research development;
• Offer research mentoring for new and less experienced staff;
• Help to identify funding opportunities;
• Produce annual report for consideration by the School Research Committee for onward journey to School Board.

Membership

Establishment of groups and appointment of Conveners to be approved by School Management Committee on the recommendation of the Research Committee then reported to School Board.

School academic staff (staff should be free to have membership and joint membership of whichever groups they have an interest in and as staff interests change and develop or as funding opportunities emerge, new groups may form or the focus of groups may change).
