School Academic Quality Assurance Committee

Remit

Reporting to School Board, the role of School Academic Quality Assurance Committee is:

To review Programme Monitoring Reports and to feed thematic issues raised into the School Learning and Teaching Development Plan;
To action the guidance given in the College Academic Quality Assurance manual;
To ensure that programmes operate within the framework, policies and criteria of the School, College and the University;
To make recommendations on issues of quality enhancement to the School Board;
To recommend to School Board programme changes and programme approvals;
To consider nominations of external examiners for approval by Dean and School Board.
