School Academic Quality Assurance Committee
Remit
Reporting to School Board, the role of School Academic Quality Assurance Committee is:
- To review Programme Monitoring Reports and to feed thematic issues raised into the School Learning and Teaching Development Plan;
- To action the guidance given in the College Academic Quality Assurance manual;
- To ensure that programmes operate within the framework, policies and criteria of the School, College and the University;
- To make recommendations on issues of quality enhancement to the School Board;
- To recommend to School Board programme changes and programme approvals;
- To consider nominations of external examiners for approval by Dean and School Board.

- Convener (nominated by School Board) - Neil Taylor (until March 2013)
- Up to 6 School academic representatives - currently:

- Richard Ingram (until 31 July 2014 (2nd term))

- Dr Gaye Manwaring (until 31 July 2013 (2nd term, early finish))
- Lorraine Syme-Smith (until 31 July 2013)
- One external representative - currently Joan Cameron, School of Nursing & Midwifery (until 31 July 2014)
- Two student representatives: Khally O'Leary (BEd (P) Year 2) and Katie Stewart (BEd (P) Year 2)
