It is University policy that all tuition fees are due to be paid on or before the commencement of studies. Payment options are detailed below.
Tuition fees can be paid in one single payment or by instalments. Self-funding students with fees of £200 or more can pay in instalments by direct debit. To use this method of payment please complete and return a Direct Debit Instruction (available from Cash Office) after reading this policy. Please note that sponsors are not permitted to pay by instalments and must pay the module or programme fee in full.
Distance learning students undertaking an individual module costing more than £200 can pay in full or by direct debit in three monthly instalments. Each module must be fully paid before a new module can be issued. Payments must continue to be made when a student is on a temporary withdrawal.
Distance learning students enrolling for a Certificate, Diploma or Degree can pay the annual tuition fee in a single payment; by 7 end of month instalments, or 8 mid-month instalments. Payments must continue to be made when a student is on a temporary withdrawal.
If you default on a payment due, the University will cancel the Direct Debit Instruction and your fees become due in full immediately. A late payment fee is applied when a Direct Debit Instruction is cancelled.
Access to University facilities such as Library and IT Services will be revoked and you will be withdrawn from your studies; you will be unable to attend the Graduation ceremony and you will not receive your certificate; your details will be passed to a debt collection agency.
If we do not receive payment from your sponsor within 3 months of your commencement of studies you will be billed directly. You will be notified of any shortfall or non-payment by the Cash Office and you will be liable for this. It is your responsibility to pursue your sponsor for any fees or bank charges you consider to be your sponsor's liability.
Once a student attends an induction workshop and has received module materials, no refund will be possible for that module.
Students who have paid in full by programme will be advised if a refund option is available by Registry.
