We offer a wide range of opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students from round the globe, and pride ourselves on providing education and training of the highest standard. We have an excellent reputation with employers and our graduates are much sought after by leading companies. The recent Research Assessment Exercise 2008 results show that Civil Engineering at the University of Dundee is top in Scotland for its research with the highest percentage of research publications being classed as "internationally recognised" and "world leading".

Mai Nguyen, one of our MSc in Construction Management  graduates has been nominated for a First Women of Engineering Award as one of the first female civil engineers specialising in tunnelling.

Full funded MSc Places Available

Scottish Funding Council (SFC) supports key sectors in the Scottish economy to develop a high-level skills base, the University of Dundee is pleased to announce that we can offer 49 fully-funded places to eligible students, including MSc Geotechnical Engineering in our School.

A Mathematics PhD student was awarded a Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) prize for the best student contributed talk at the recent British Applied Mathematics Colloquium (BAMC).
