MLitt/PGDip Women, Culture and Society

as part of the MLitt in Humanities with Specialisation

This taught postgraduate course offers specialist interdisciplinary study within English, Fine Art, History and Philosophy. It brings together modules addressing women and gender from 1600 to the present in the UK and Europe.

In common with all of the taught postgraduate courses offered within the Humanties with Specialisation degree pathway, the Philosophy and Literature MLitt/PGDip has a common structure of 60 (4 x 15) credits of:

Plus two modules from a suite of Research Methods options (15 credits each).

The core module for this programme is Approaches to Women, Culture and Society (30 credits), and a free choice of one content modules from a list which varies each year (30 credits). For the current list, visit the Women, Culture and Society website.

Masters students go on to undertake a dissertation.
