David Sutherland Exhibition

This exhibition, in association with D.C. Thomson & Co and the Scottish Centre for Comics Studies, celebrates a legendary figure in comics art.

David Sutherland began working on D.C. Thomson comics in 1960, and has been drawing The Bash Street Kids for The Beano since 1962 - an amazing 50 years! He was also the regular artist for Biffo the Bear (1969-84) and Dennis the Menace (1970-1998).

The exhibition features a unique selection of original artwork, revealing Sutherland's extraordinary abilities as a comics genius!

A review of the exhibition, and the talk and Q&A session that took place on Wednesday 13th June, were published by downthetubes.net - "In Review: David Sutherland - Comics Genius Exhibition and Talk".

The exhibition is available to view in Room 1.36, Baxter Suite, Tower Building, from 1-3pm on Wednesdays until the 15th August.  Further information is available on the Museum Services website.
