Dundee Comics Day

Dundee Comics Day will be held on Sunday 27th June 2010 in the Tower Building, University of Dundee (11am - 7pm).
The theme is how comics are created, with artists, writers and editors discussing the process of creating a comic. Confirmed speakers for 2010 include:
- famed artist Alan Davis (Captain Britain, Miracleman, Excalibur)
- legendary writer and editor Pat Mills (2000AD, Slaine, Nemesis, Requiem Vampire Knight)
- the hugely influential editor Dez Skinn (Warrior, Doctor Who Weekly)
- celebrated artist and designer Rian Hughes (Dare)
- professional Manga artist Nana Li, who will be giving a workshop on creating Japanese style comics.
There will also be an exhibition focusing on the career of late DC Thomson artist Bill Ritchie (The Beezer, Baby Crockett).
The Comics Day talks are designed to appeal to everyone with an interest in comics, and will be accessible to the general public, comics fans of all ages, and those with a scholarly interest in the medium.
