Debating The Difference, a publication consisting of papers dealing with issues of gender and representation in visual and literary mediums, is available on the Scottish Word and Image Group (SWIG) website.

The collection, edited by Dr Keith Williams, Dr Rachel Jones,  Dr Hamid Van Koten and Dr Chris Murray, all based at the University of Dundee, contains papers by:

The papers cover a wide range of material and themes, from representations of North American native women, to the presentation of gender in literary texts and in performance, and in relation to suffrage propaganda, contemporary surveillance practices in shopping malls, and images of the feminine in superhero comics.
