Research Interests

Lisa Otty's research interests include:

Lisa Otty joined the department in March 2009, as Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the AHRC-funded project Poetry Beyond Text: Vision, Text, Cognition. Her main research interests are in the materiality of texts, print and books, and the relations between literature, visual art, and technology. She has worked on the aesthetic theory of Adorno and Lyotard, and the experimental poetics of the historical and neo-avant-gardes. She is currently working on a monograph exploring modernist book making and print practice.
