Climate change is possibly the most significant threat that humanity has faced in its history. A massive global effort will be required to find sustainable solutions to future energy needs that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from current levels. To focus on these issues from an education and research perspective, DUCRE brings together expertise in a wide range of disciplines including; Physics, Electronics, Nanotechnology, Civil & Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Geography, Botanics, Town Planning, Architecture, Remote Sensing, The Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law, and of course, Renewable Energy.
Research as a Foundation
DUCRE is engaged in a wide range of diverse renewable energy and environmental research. Projects range from; electric vehicle technologies, to wind, solar, and hydro technologies, and from energy policy issues to Third World environmental development analysis. Additionally, we have the capability to utilize a full range of computer modeling techniques including state-of-the-art CFD analysis.

Renewable Energy Courses at Dundee
A new generation of scientists, engineers and policy-makers will need to be equipped with skills to enable them to make informed decisions on all aspects of this important and rapidly developing subject. Our Masters degree in Renewable Energy and Environmental Modeling is designed to produce graduates with a broad and balanced skills base, within a programme of real depth and a sound contextual basis.
