Yu-Fu gained both a BSc and an MSc in Chemistry from the
National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, a PG Diploma in Economics from the
University of Warwick, and both an MSc and a PhD in Economics from
Birkbeck College, University of London. He is currently a lecturer in Economic Studies at the University of Dundee
Research
Yu-Fu's research interests include: real options application, macroeconomics, labour economics, modelling uncertainty, extreme events modelling.
Yu-Fu is currently working on:
- Modelling problems of extreme weather events and derive optimal policies for such low probability events by applying real options
- The effect of the institution of firing costs on employment, hiring decisions, temporary work agency, and working time determination
- The long-run effect of uncertainty on growth and business cycles
