First year Business Economics and Marketing student, Egle Pociute, has become only the second student from a Scottish University to be successful in being appointed to the highly regarded UK Pearson Student Advisory Board (PSAB). The PSAB consists of a panel of high calibre students who provide a structured and ongoing link between Pearson's UK Higher Education business and the student community. Egle, who is from Lithuania, is delighted to have been chosen from a very strong field of candidates to be one of only eight students from British and Irish universities who will comprise the board for the academic year 2010/11. As a PSAB member, she will gain extensive exposure to the workings of a major academic publishing house in exchange for her involvement in publishing strategy, marketing practice and product development projects that will shape the way Pearson create educational resources of the future.
