Economic Studies student appointed to NHS Tayside Board
Second year MA Economics and Politics student, Matthew Landsburgh, has been appointed to serve as a lay member on the Board of NHS Tayside for a four year term. NHS Tayside is responsible for meeting the health needs of around 400,000 people living in Tayside, and provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services for the populations of Dundee City, Angus and Perth & Kinross. The purpose of the Board is to ensure the efficient, effective and accountable governance of NHS Tayside, to provide strategic leadership and direction, and to focus on agreed outcomes. Matthew, who is a founding member and current Chair of the Dundee Youth Council, will bring to the Board his ongoing interest in health matters and his determination to ensure NHS Tayside supports cares and listens to its patients as well as it can.
