Workshop on "Evaluating Changes in Health Inequalities" held at Dundee March 2011

Dr Paul Allanson and Dr Dennis Petrie organised a workshop at the University of Dundee on "Evaluating Changes in Health Inequalities" as part of their ongoing CSO funded project "Development of tools to measure and explain changes in health inequalities in Scotland and benchmark performance". The workshop provided a follow-up session to a CSO event "Measuring, understanding and tackling health inequalities in Scotland" held in Edinburgh in February, at which Dr Allanson presented a brief summary of the results from the project to a select group of academics, policymakers and health service professionals. Participants at the workshop were able to learn more about the methods developed in the study, consider their usefulness for evaluating changes in health inequalities in Scotland and discuss future research directions.
