Biography

Phillip has been teaching in the Graphic Design department since 2005. He has also taught in the Animation department. Phillip is the creator and Module Leader of the Comic Art & Graphic Novels Expansive Module.

Phillip has over 16 years experience in graphic, print and interactive design, motion graphics and the 3D computer games industry.

Phillip has worked on high profile licenses such as Braveheart, Star Trek, Tom and Jerry, Teletubbies, and Wallace & Gromit, subsequently working as a cut-scene producer for Farscape™, a Jim Henson production. He also worked on Brave™ and the highly successful State of Emergency™ franchise. He also realised a lifelong ambition and worked with the creators of Judge Dredd on a video game project for Digital Animations.

Most recently he completed all the animation and front-end work on Superman for DC Comics/Warner Bros, a No.1 selling App on iOS.

Phillip is also a freelance designer and animator.

LIM - Living in the Moment
EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council). Funded project for 3 years until September 2007
Developed an engaging multimedia activity system for people with dementia. Collaboration between University of Dundee, School of Computing, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and University of St. Andrews, School of Psychology.
