CEMA and the Arts Council in Scotland, 1919 - 1967 (forthcoming)

This will be the first published study of the origins and development of the Arts Council in Scotland in the period up to the formation of the Scottish Arts Council in 1967. Its purpose is to fill a gap in the literature on the ‘arts council system’ by addressing its development in Scotland, both as a subject valuable for itself and as a neglected aspect of the history of the Arts Council of Great Britain.
