Biography

Ali is responsible for supporting the technologies specific to the Digital Interaction Design (DIxD) and Product Design curricula. These include web programming, mobile application development, data visualisation and (his personal favourite) physical computing using the Arduino family of microcontrollers. In addition, he manages DIxD's IT provision, which affords student access to web and database server resources, which are central to course requirements.

Ali has a long history in network management within education, prior to which he studied modern languages. He is also a musician, and has played keyboards with many well-known artists. He's still active in the local music scene, and can be seen performing with the excellent midlife-crisis band "Miami Vince".
