Research Degree Supervisors
In DJCAD we have a number of academic researchers who are experienced in supervising research degrees. When an applicant is accepted onto the research degrees programme, he/she will be allocated two supervisors, a principal or first supervisor who will have expertise in the field and will have the main responsibility for guiding the research, and a second supervisor who will provide additional support. As many art, media and design research degrees are very broad-ranging, it may also be deemed appropriate to assign an adviser from another field to give additional support. We have many contacts throughout University of Dundee in a range of disciplines from Philosophy to Medical Sciences who can be called upon.
