MSc Medical Art - Course Outline

Students on the Forensic and Medical Art branch of the MSc programme share majority modules in semester 1 with increasing specialisation in semester 2. Students may carry out their semester three dissertation module either internally or from a working environment or placement.
The course is delivered using lectures,workshops and small group seminars alongside self-initiated research and review.
Semester 1 (60 credits)
- Anatomy 1 - Head and Neck
- Anatomy 2 - Post Cranial
- Life Art
- Contemporary Media Practice
- Research Methods
Semester 2 (60 credits)
- Medico-legal Ethics
- Medical Art 1 - Surgical
- Medical Art 2
Semester 3 (60 credits) - dissertation resulting from a research project undertaken either at the university or as a placement.
(On successful completion of Semesters 1 and 2 there is an exit award of a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Art .)
