Introduction
The MSc in Forensic or Medical Art is a professional Masters programme, with the two branches sharing the majority of semester 1 modules then focusing on specialised modules in semester 2. The programme has been developed in response to the need for the provision of support for the satisfactory transition from undergraduate study to the establishment of professional practice within contemporary forensic and medical fields. It recognises that, in common with many academic subjects, students who have successfully completed a first degree require professional vocational training in order to enter employment. In addition, professionals within the police force or NHS require qualification, validation and specialisation of their skills to conform with medico-legal procedures, enable career progression and for registration with professional bodies.
This MSc aims to produce professionals at the cutting edge and will provide a supportive environment to nurture innovation and creativity.
