MSc Forensic Art - Course Outline
Course Outline
Students on the Forensic and Medical Art branched of the MSc programme share majority modules in semester 1 with increasing specialisation in semester 2. Students may carry out their semester three dissertation module either internally or from a working environment or placement.
The course is delivered using lectures, workshops and small group seminars alongside self-initiated research and review.
Semester 1 (60 credits)
- Anatomy 1 - Head and Neck
- Life Art
- Contemporary Media Practice
- Research Methods
- Facial Analysis and Imaging
Semester 2 (60 credits)
- Medico-legal Ethics
- Depiction and Identification of the Dead
- Depiction and Identification of the Living
Semester 3 (60 credits)
Dissertation resulting from a research project undertaken either at the university or as a placement.
