DJCAD wins 'Best Marketing Strategy' prize at Scottish Event Awards

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design's innovative approach to marketing has seen it scoop a prestigious prize at this year's Scottish Event Awards. It won the 'Best Marketing Strategy' title for the DJCAD Degree Show 2012 at the awards ceremony, which took place at the Radisson Hotel in Glasgow last night. Quilting success for Textile Design graduate

A Textile Design graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) has won the Graduate Showcase prize at The Festival of Quilts. Sarah Stewart, who received her degree earlier this year, took the prize at the Festival, the largest of its kind in Europe. She won £1000 to spend on materials for her entry, which was taken from her Degree Show. The entry included pieces of hand dyed, printed and embroidered material, which are intended to be used for fashion design. A multi-award winning graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) has received a prize of £2000 to enable her to take up a residency position in Finland. Madeline Mackay (23), who graduated with a degree in Fine Art earlier this year, has just been named as the winner of the Royal Scottish Academy of Art & Architecture's Barns-Graham Travel Award.
