The Scottish Glass Society, in partnership with Perth Museum and Art Gallery, invited their members to create new artworks that reveal the hidden treasures of the museums reserve collection. This presented an exciting opportunity to take a multidisciplinary approach to the collection and the array of objects selected by the artists has created some unusual juxtapositions allowing the collections to be seen in a less conventional fashion. The contemporary glass exhibition brings together a collective of twenty five glass artists, with work including cast, etched, engraved, slumped, fused, leaded, stained and painted panels, forms and sculptural pieces.
