Fife Contemporary Art & Craft’s specially designed craft pods are on their second year-long tour of libraries in west Fife.  The theme for 2010/11 has been book related with all artists being inspired by books in some way.  On show is a small selection of work by Rachel Hazell, Phiona Richards and Alix Swan, plus examples of the materials they use and background information about the artists.

Visit over 70 artists, designers and makers in their own workspaces over the first full weekend in May. This is a chance to see into their unusual and sometimes quirky worlds and spend a weekend in this beautiful part of Scotland. Buy or commission directly from them, or be inspired to become creative yourself. This year for the first time, there is a wide selection of established and newly opened galleries taking part in the event.

Fife Forum 2011 – Survival Tactics

The fifth annual forum for visual and craft artists organised by Fife Contemporary Art & Craft.  Artists will talk about how they support their practice by leading classes (Kirsty Lorenz) and running a retail business (James Donald); and Colin Greenslade will talk about the RSA Residencies for Scotland programme. Artists from Cupar and Kirkcaldy based Blacksand will talk about their joint exhibition initiative (the preview of which will take place in Fifespace, Rothes Halls, immediately after the Forum, and to which all are invited). The day will be rounded off by a panel discussion featuring the artist Jeanette Sendler.
