About Dundee

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design is located in the heart of the city centre. Dundee is the fourth largest city in Scotland but has a small town feel to it.  It is a city known for its discoveries. Once recognised for building the ship that took Captain’s Scott and his crew on a remarkable expedition to Antarctica, Dundee is now leading the way in cutting-edge life sciences, education and the digital media industry.

Dundee will also be the site for the ground breaking V&A at Dundee which will showcase Scottish design talent and will provide a UK base for major international touring exhibitions. DJCAD is a key partner in this initiative.

DiscoveryDundee is situated between the mountains and the sea and offers many opportunities for leisure activities from sailing, canoeing and dolphin spotting on the Tay to skiing and hiking in Glenshee and the Cairngorms.

Good transportation links allow easy access to the other major cities in Scotland (including Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen) and to London by train or plane.

Dundee also has a very active artistic community with regular talks, workshops and exhibitions.
