IT Facilities

Image of computer cables

At the University of Dundee we aim to provide you with the highest possible quality of information and communication technology (ICT) to support your learning - we'll even train you to use it.

This page explains:

Most ICT resources can be accessed from any computer connected to the internet on or off campus.

How to access ICS resources for the first time

Once you have matriculated, you will receive an IT Registration form detailing your standard University of Dundee username, password and email address. Please keep this safe and follow the security tips and guidance on changing your password. Many systems, including email and My Dundee (the virtual learning environment), are accessed using this standard username and password.

Services you need to know about

A range of ICT resources, support and advice is available to you. Most ICT based services, eg email, My Dundee, disability IT support, are available to every distance learner. Some Colleges and Schools may provide access to other IT facilities - they will let you know about this separately.
