I play a major role in undergraduate curriculum development and assessment.
I am the Teaching Lead for Acute Care and Anaesthesia undergraduate teaching in the University of Dundee medical school.
We have a very active role in the teaching of anaesthesia, resuscitation and acute care. We run several courses including the ILS and APART courses. I am active in: curriculum management and development, lecturing, examinations (EMI and OSCE question setting and marking and portfolio), co-ordinating and supervising clinical SSC’s for Phase 2 and Phase 3 students. I have supervised the development of online modules for Phase 2 and Phase 3 students and I am currently involved in the development of acute care teaching in both the Integrated Teaching Area (ITA) and the Clinical Skills Unit.
I am currently studying for a Certificate in Medical Education at the Centre for Medical Education at the University of Dundee.
I have an active interest in clinical research, mainly in the field of regional anaesthesia.
