A College Research Lab

The College of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing at the University of Dundee is proud to host some of the world's leading research into common diseases and significant healthcare problems.  Our research is truly interdisciplinary, involving collaborations across the University and with key partners such as the NHS and the pharmaceutical industry, and harnesses the skills and infrastructure available within state-of-the-art research facilities located right across the University's campuses.

Our mission is to understand the underlying causes of common disease and healthcare problems and, by applying that knowledge, develop novel interventions and therapeutic approaches that directly impact on patient care and quality of life.  These ambitious goals are achievable as a direct result of the talented people working in the College, who are carrying out internationally excellent research across the full spectrum from fundamental molecular and cellular biology to the study of populations and social interactions.  The availability of such a wide range of expertise is a major strength of the Dundee research environment.
