News: Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Recognised

Professor Margery Davis, Centre for Medical Education, has received the inaugural Chancellor’s Award for Lifetime Contribution to Teaching, which sees three colleagues of the University recognised for their contribution to excellence in teaching, pedagogical research and the demonstration of effective leadership in this field of academic practice.

Learning & Teaching

Our aim is to produce health professionals fit for practice in an interdisciplinary, multi-professional, constantly changing NHS. We train doctors, dentists, nurses and midwives at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and an increasing number of other health professionals, in highly innovative curricula.

Research

The College is a centre of excellence in research with major activities spreading from laboratory bench to bedside and from individual patients to population studies.

Partnership with NHS

Our clinical academic staff provide care in many hospital and community settings in close partnership with NHS colleagues.
