Tom Dyer obtained his first degree in Materials Science at the University of Manchester. He has been employed at the University of Dundee since 1996, firstly as a Research Assistant and currently as a Lecturer. Previous to this he studied at Dundee as a member of the Concrete Technology Unit to obtain an MSc (by research) followed by his PhD. The majority of his research is concerned with the recycling of waste materials in concrete, although he has been involved in the development of admixtures and examining ways of enhancing concrete durability.
