Synergy has been developed with the University of Dundee Centre for Enterprise Management, where research focuses on knowledge transfer and on the determinants of successful change at the project and organisational levels.
Research in Construction & Project Management is sponsored by the EPSRC and industry in roughly equal measure. The Unit leads a consortium comprising Loughborough, St Andrews and Glasgow Caledonian Universities that has been awarded £1.5m from the EPSRC in the last two years (http://www.sue-mot.org). The Unit is a leading academic partner in the newly established Scottish Construction Centre with funding of £2.7m from Scottish Enterprise, and has been commissioned by ConstructionSkills to develop national labour coefficients and a labour forecasting tool.
A new company, Whole Life Consultants Ltd, has been set up to commercialise the research.
