Merit Certificates

Please note that all students who are enrolled in a Civil Engineering programme and who will not be graduating at the end of the academic year are eligible for the award of a Merit Certificate on the basis of their overall academic performance in that year. Consideration will be given at the May meeting of the Civil Engineering Examination Board to non-graduating students who have passed all the modules associated with their Level at the first attempt.

Anyone passing all modules and achieving an overall mark of 70% or more (or the alphanumeric equivalent) will be eligible for the award of a First Class merit certificate. Anyone passing all modules and achieving an overall mark of between 60 and 69% (or the alphanumeric equivalent) will be eligible for the award of a Second Class merit certificate.
