The Chaplaincy Centre
There is a team ministry in the Chaplaincy consisting of a full-time Chaplain and a number of honorary and associate Chaplains from different denominations and faiths.
Location
The Chaplaincy Centre has an important role to play in the life of the University and is situated right in the heart of the main University campus.

History
The Chaplaincy Centre was built in 1974 and extended in 1987.
The Chapel, with a modern tracker pipe organ installed in 1978, which is used both for worship and for recitals, including the popular free lunchtime concerts.
Facilities
A Coffee Bar and lounge area, which serves snacks and full lunches between 10.00am and 3.00pm during the week days of term and which is eminently suitable for evening meetings:
- a downstairs common room with kitchen adjacent and facilities for the disabled
- a library
- a quiet room
- the Chaplains' offices
These facilities are heavily used not only for worship and by religious societies, but also for other social and community purposes. A number of student and city based groups meet in the Chaplaincy Centre, including the Labyrinth Walk, Overseas Wives & Children, and the Dundee Recorded Music Society.
The facilities are, in total or in part, available for use for functions, events, exhibitions, conferences, seminars and concerts may be booked through the Chaplaincy Secretary on 01382 384157. The Chapel is also available for wedding ceremonies for staff students and graduates.
