Labyrinth

Anyone can walk a Labyrinth as it is a place of quietness and peace.  Whether you are new to it or a regular visitor, the Labyrinth is great for meditation and prayer as it brings calmness and healing to our busy lives.

The Labrynth in the Chapel is often called the Chartres Labyrinth (from the 13th Century example in Chartres Cathedral, although the pattern evolved 300 years earlier).  This sophisticated development of the classical labyrinth is rich in sacred geometry and combines the circle (symbol of completion and perfection), solar wheel, cross and medieval world.
